Passports:

A passport must be valid for at least two months after the entry date for those without diplomatic representation in Cuba.
Passport note:

Persons of Cuban origin who are nationals of other countries must travel with a Cuban passport if they left Cuba after 1970.

Neither visa exemptions nor tourist visa-card facilities are applicable to foreign passport holders born in Cuba, unless holding a document proving withdrawal of Cuban citizenship.
Entry with children:

Parents travelling with minor children may be required to show proof of parental rights or guardianship.

Entry requirements for Americans: US nationals must have a passport valid on arrival. A visa is also required if the visitor does not have a Tourist Card.

Passport/Visa Note: In lieu of a visa, a Tourist Card ("Tarjeta del Turista"), costing US$25 or equivalent, may be issued by tour operators, travel agents or airlines for a single-entry holiday trip of up to 30 days, provided land arrangements are pre-booked and paid. A return ticket or proof of onward travel is required, as well as sufficient funds to cover the period of intended stay in Cuba (US$50 or equivalent per day). All those entering Cuba must hold travel insurance to cover medical expenses, with coverage in Cuba, for the period of stay. NOTE: It is highly recommended that your passport has at least six months validity remaining after your intended date of departure from your travel destination. Immigration officials often apply different rules to those stated by travel agents and official sources.
